The veterinary profession is urging the Commission to promptly publish the proposal regarding dogs and cats.
In a joint letter to the President of the Commission, FVE-FECAVA and other associations highlight the importance of releasing the proposal on the breeding and care of cats and dogs without delay, emphasizing that there 140 million + cats and dogs in European households.
FVE wants to emphasize that such a proposal could contribute not only to the welfare of pets but also to public health, supporting the One Health approach.
