The internship is a one year training program designed to provide skills and experience in emergency medicine, and exposure to a wide range of specialties.
This is a prerequisite for residency positions, but will prepare the clinician well for any position. A veterinary license is required for this position, so the clinician must be a graduate of an AVMA accredited veterinary school. Description available at https://virmp.org/Program/Detail/12371, or email jjohnson@osvs.net.
Experienced emergency clinicians are encouraged to apply for a position with the emergency service. Completion of an internship is preferred. Emergency clinicians work a combination of daytime, swing, and overnight shifts, and have the benefit of consulting with specialists while managing challenging cases. The teaching hospital environment provides the opportunity for continuous learning. Please send inquiry to learn more. Emergency clinicians must be eligible for a license in the US.
For those clinicians who did not graduate from an AVMA accredited school, we would consider hiring for a nurse practitioner role - which involves seeing patients under the direction of the licensed doctors.
Full time
For internship or emergency positions, must be a graduate of an AVMA accredited school or otherwise eligible to obtain a license to practice in the US.
Benefits: VISA sponsorship as needed. Competitive salary, Health insurance
Paid vacation 401K and other benefits depending on the position.
