PREZODE
PREZODE (Preventing Zoonotic Disease Emergence) is an international One Health initiative launched in January 2021 during the One Planet Summit. This initiative units over 260 stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutions, academic organizations, civil society groups, health agencies, and other relevant entities worldwide. Its primary goal is to advance research, advocacy, and international collaboration to prevent, reduce, and address the emergence of zoonotic diseases.
The initiative's governance is organized around four main bodies: the General Assembly, the Steering Committee, the Donors Committee, and the Secretariat. The Secretariat's primary objective is to support the initiative's development, implementation, and success by managing the operational activities outlined in the annual work plan. Additionally, the Secretariat will support the governance bodies, committees, working groups, partnerships, and memberships associated with the initiative.

Job Description
Junior Policy Officer/Assistant to the Secretary General of the PREZODE

The Junior Policy Officer shall support the Secretary-General with the following tasks:
Preparation and follow-up of governing bodies and bilateral meetings.
Drafting reports and working documents.
Preparation of global events and missions of the SG/President or other PREZODE representative at global events.
Providing assistance and support in conducting election and voting procedures.
Manage the Secretariat files, documents, calendars etc.
Keeping up-to-date, relevant information to best inform the SG and Secretariat members.
You have graduated with a university degree, preferably in Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, or a related field to the initiative's scope, and have 1-2 years of relevant experience.
You have developed the following skills:
Excellent spoken and written English skills (French language skills would be a plus).
Proficiency in office tools, calendar management, and videoconferencing.
Strong synthesis and writing abilities
Strong organisational skillsUnderstanding of public administration operating methods
Ability to comprehend complex environments and mechanisms
You demonstrate the following human qualities:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
Strong personal and work ethics
Ability to work as a team member
