Veterinary Inspector SALARY: £38,017 - £41,799 (under review) Ref: IRC260869 DEPARTMENT: Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) LOCATION: The successful candidates will be based at any one of a variety of locations throughout Northern Ireland. Further appointments may be made from this competition should NICS positions become vacant which have similar duties and responsibilities. The main purpose of the Veterinary Inspector is the implementation of policy in respect of the following:-  Public health  Animal welfare  Import controls  Enzootic disease control or eradication  Epizootic disease prevention and where necessary, control or eradication  Zoonotic disease control and  International trade.
