Hands-On Training for Farmers and Veterinarians

Farmers and veterinarians play a critical role in maintaining high standards of animal care, preventing disease, and ensuring the prudent use of antimicrobials. This training supports the EU’s Farm-to-Fork (F2F) goal of reducing antimicrobial use in farmed animals and aquaculture by 50% by 2030.

Purpose:
Provide one full-day, free hands-on training for farmers and veterinarians working with food-producing animals to:

  • Understand the implications of EU Regulations (2019/4 and 2019/6) on medicated feed and veterinary medicinal products.
  • Share best practices for reducing antimicrobial use in daily farm operations.
  • Explore measures to prevent infections and facilitate the transition to reduced antimicrobial reliance.

Training Sessions:
Our training program is designed to provide valuable knowledge and practical skills through a combination of plenary sessions and dynamic working groups. Participants will gain insights into legislative updates, share perspectives, and discuss specific species’ problems and solutions. Networking opportunities abound, with participants encouraged to connect during lunch, dinner, and coffee breaks, fostering a collaborative environment.

These sessions aim to improve awareness, compliance, and collaboration in the effort to reduce antimicrobial use responsibly.
