The scale of online sales and advertising by dog and cat breeders has increased in recent years. The online trade in animals is not regulated. this pose various risks as cross border spread of diseases, animal cruelty and species extinction.
In the joint letter above, addressed to the EU Commission, we recommend the EU Institutions to consider several principles to effectively regulate the online trade in animals.
