FVE have updated Veterinary Regulators Report, and it is now available.
The veterinary profession is a liberal profession that requires regulation. This regulation is carried out by two main types of organisations: professional associations and Veterinary Statutory Bodies (VSBs).
This updated report offers valuable insights for veterinary professionals by clarifying how the profession is structured and regulated across Europe, with a particular focus on VSBs. It outlines the essential functions of VSBs (such as licensing, setting professional standards, overseeing conduct, and ensuring continuing professional development), while comparing how these systems operate in different countries.
